 Little Golden Stars
Boys have been selected by Gifty Myers, President of the GRFF. The team is comprised from four school clubs from one of the most deprived areas of Greater Accra. Some are orphans and all come from very poor backgrounds within the catchment areas of Kotobabi, Nima, Mamobi and Abeka.. There are a number of who will not be able to afford the cost of secondary education and live in mainly one roomed houses/shacks. The official Government organisation NEPAD was set up just over a year ago to provide school lunches to ensure children all get at least one meal a day.
Ghana Rugby Association was founded in 2003. It is a member of CA and it is an associate member of the IRB. Sadly there are a limited number of coaches in the country and there is no senior team coach. Those that are available are volunteers and rely on handouts to help the development of rugby.
