SOS iRB Kitaid Is simply a non profit making charity founded by a rugby mad John Broadfoot who saw for himself the plight of Romanian youngsters during a school rugby tour to Romania . The sight of a smiling Romanian eight year old boy running with the ball under one arm whilst he used the other to hold up his shorts made him want to do something about it.
From the experience of his own rugby sons John knew there were several pairs of boots and shirts lying around doing nothing. So to test out the potential John collected kit from just ten schools to see how much kit might be available on a wider scale. The test was an outstanding success both in terms of quantity and quality of kit donated and John persuaded the International Rugby Board to endorse and fund its expansion to 200+ UK schools. The intention eventually is to have 2000+ UK schools/clubs on board distributing kit throughout the world whether it be townships in South Africa, emerging countries like India/Chile or inner city rugby in London or Cardiff. touraid has linked with SOS iRB Kitaid to help provide kit to the areas where there is a common interest as well as gratefully receiving the donation of boots for many of the children on touraid tours

Tag Rugby Development Trust (TRDT)
Tag Rugby Development Trust is a unique charity that introduces primary school children in developing countries to Tag Rugby through volunteer tours that build a positive legacy through local involvement and UK support. The first tour to Uganda took place in 2002. Since then the team of volunteers have visited many countries and they have found that irrespective of the nature of project work being undertaken practically anywhere in the world, the one single thing that never fails to unite, interest, entertain and put a smile on ordinary peoples face the world over is sport. Central to the continued success of the program is the simple fact that volunteers and school children alike that participate have a positive, educational and extraordinary experience. touraid has linked with TRDT to allow reciprocating tours to take place to the UK
